David R. Ursillo, Sr. is a founding partner of Rodio & Ursillo, Ltd.
After graduating from law school, David served as Senior Law Clerk to the Rhode Island Superior Court, and then to the Chief Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. His experience in the Rhode Island Courts has been a considerable aid in David’s role as a panel arbitrator in the firm’s representation of labor organizations.
Upon entering private practice, David quickly established a reputation as a top practitioner in corporate law. His corporate practice includes general corporate planning for major clients including mergers, acquisitions, stock redemptions, liquidations, transactional planning, and management advisory services. David has developed a particular acumen in his representation of financial institutions. His representation of numerous Rhode Island financial institutions includes commercial loan documentation and general corporate representation for said institutions.
David expanded his corporate practice to include legal services for major real estate transactions including real estate developments and major commercial centers. His commercial and real estate practice includes representation before various local and administrative agencies including zoning boards, planning boards, conservation commissions, city councils, departments of environmental management, and the Environmental Protection Agency. David also serves his corporate and real estate clients by serving as chief negotiator in the consummation of major commercial leases.
During the course of his career, David’s records of positive results in a diversity of areas have resulted in his selection as Legal Counsel to numerous municipalities, Rhode Island General Assembly Committees, Rhode Island State Agencies, and Public Corporations.
